Spring Is in the Air

I love the smell, look, and feel of fresh flowers, especially when the weather outside is far from spring-like. The beauty about flowers is that it doesn't take much to brighten up any room. The arrangements don't have to be too intricate. And even the vessel doesn't have to be formal.
I love to experiment with different vessels for my flowers, sometimes using a traditional vase, but other times using a Champaign flute, a tea cup, a bowl, and whatever inspires me in the moment. I always love how creative this makes me feel.
Today I bought some flowers (as seen in the picture above). But there were a few that were too short to put into the vase. So what I did was find a Champaign flute and placed the remainder of the flowers inside of it. It took barely any time and it turned out to be quite elegant. It can make the perfect ambience-enhancer for any dining table, bathroom, kitchen, table, counter, and pretty much anywhere in the house. You might want to place it in a lower traffic area, however, because it is quite delicate and perhaps easy to flip over. But overall, it makes for a beautiful addition to any type of décor.

Flowers are one of the easiest ways to lift your mood and inspire beauty in your home. They smell divine and they look and feel cheery. They are a modest investment and the creative possibilities are endless. Put them in a pale, float them in a bowl, arrange them in any which way that pleases you. Because as you engage in this creative activity, you will be exercising your ability to be present and, in being present, all of your cares and worries will simply melt away. So, sit back, relax, grab a nice cup of tea or a sherry, and admire your flower arrangement as you savor and appreciate the liveliness and sense of peace these plants are providing for you.
